Harvest Monday

It has been a great harvest this week.  I have been picking beans every other day, and pick 5 lbs this week, my first tomatoes were picked this week two I picked 7 tomatoes weighing in at 3 lbs. I also got to pick my first ears of corn which was 3 lbs. I pulled up 1.5 lbs of onions which became pearl onions after they were trampled by a rabbit and stopped growing.  My first okra was ready for picking this week too and I got 0.5 lbs but will soon have more than I can handle.  If you looked my garden pictures from earlier you may not see the okra, that's because I have two plots at my church community garden where I help run the community garden.

My two plots at the community garden, I have 4 rows of okra totaling about 18 ft between both plots and 20 tomato plants.

  2. Very nice harvest. Thanks for sharing. I love the corn. Ours is only about 2 inches tall right now.

  3. Great harvest! It will be a while before I get my corn. But it is right on track for our area.

  4. Your first tomatoes and corn must be such a treat. It's times like these that I hate living in the north.
