Monday Harvest

Happy 4th to everyone!  Well when it rains it pours some say and things have just been pouring our of the garden this week. I was able to pick more than I could use so canning has went in to full swing as well.  I canned over a gallon of tomatoes, 3 quarts of pickles, and the first quart of pickled okra.  This week I picked an amazing 16 lbs of tomatoes, 10 lbs of corn, 2.5 lbs of okra, 7 lbs of cucumbers, 4 lbs of summer squash, and 4 lbs of green beans.

Trying to sort everything.

  1. An amazing harvest...very nice. What is that variety of okra with the purple reddish hue?

  3. What a fabulous harvest. I'm hoping my garden will be like that in three weeks. I have only about four pints of tomato sauce left from last year.
